Today my Inn was solicited by Bedhunt.com to put in a free Bronze Level Listing. In my experience every link back to your own Inn site helps just a tiny bit with your search engine rankings. In this case Bedhunt.com is a basic simple directory. It does not offer anything fancy, and is free to Innkeepers as the owner is running Google ads and the like to generate revenue (much the same as what I do with Innkeepers Journal).

If only one person books and stays with us thanks to our listing on this site, it would be a positive outcome for five minutes we spent adding our Inn to the site.

Here is what Bedhunt says they offer for free with their Bronze Listing;

For owners, we offer full function, FREE listings, with zero commission on booking enquiries (or bookings).

You add your listing for free

We charge no commission (or anything else) on booking enquiries (or bookings)

You will have control over your own listing so that you can edit your details as required

You get a full page dedicated to your establishment, with all your relevant details on it

Your listing includes free page statistics so you can track how many people are viewing your pages etc

All listings include photo’s, links to your website, reservation forms, star ratings etc

All listings include free Google Maps (where Google has completed their mapping)

You can add advanced search characteristics to your listing such as “conferences” and “pet friendly”

Designed in post Victorian, Eastlake and Craftsman style, the house contains numerous examples of Old World craftsmanship, such as inlayed Greek Key design patterns in the hardwood floors, plate rails, and crown moldings. With only a few exceptions, virtually everything in the house is original and exactly like it was when it was built in 1907. The Bradley house truly provides a glimpse of a time gone by.

It is an extremely interesting idea, have people share their love stories and experiences and formulate them in to a feel good book.

Marco and Lisa are a wonderful professional couple who come and stay with you, leaving a small chest for people to put their own stories down on paper and lock them away. They have traveled extensively and placed these chests all over the country. You really should take a look at some of the Inns they have worked with on this project.
